ARLA
SurreyLets is a member of ARLA – The Association of Residential Letting Agents, which now comes under the umbrella of NFoPPS The national Federation of Property Professionals.
ARLA is the only professional and regulatory body solely concerned with residential lettings. It keeps members up-to-date with changes in legislation and the many other requirements for successful lettings practices. ARLA members are governed by Principles of Professional Conduct providing a framework of ethical and professional standards at a level far higher than the law demands.
SurreyLets Lettings Director, Sally Asling, is a Fellow Member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents, and abides by the strict Code of Practice and Principles of Conduct that the association requires.

What are the benefits to a Landlord?

ARLA members have to belong to an independent redress scheme , in this instance this is The Property Ombudsman. To read more about the Property Ombudsman for lettings, click here www.tpos.co.uk.

ARLA members additionally have to hold Client Money Protection Insurance.

Client money protection means that client money is protected in unforeseen circumstances like a company going into liquidation. Without this, a Landlord cannot be sure his rental or the tenants deposit is protected in transit through the agents account..
